Ahlul bayt are the family of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) and his descendants. It is our duty as the ummah of prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) that we take care of them,

Importance of helping Ahlul Bayt

Once Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) stood up to deliver a sermon. In the sermon he reminded the ummah repeating three times:

Uthakirukumaal hfi ahli bayt –  three times (Arabic)

Translation: “I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family” three times

Scholars have mention that prophet in this hadeeth is instructing us that we honor and help the family of prophet and his descendant and do not leave them alone. Alhamdulillah even today we have many decedent’s of prophet Muhamamd  ﷺ  who have a link of lineage which goes back to prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him).

Historically rulers would allocate an amount for their upkeep but this tradition has faded. Therefore, it is important that we take care and help them in their needs.

There are many who are from ahlul bayt and are suffering financially, how can we as being part of prophet Ummah leave them in such a state They are not allowed to take zakah therefore we should help them through our Lillah donations

Rabetah have a network who are able to identify legitimate members and ascertain their financial standing. This is an act of great virtue and something we are confident, will be a means of drawing us closer to Rasulullah (Peace be upon him) in this world and on the day of qiyamah.
