About us

Rabetah Al-Ulama Al-Islamiyyah (Institute of Islamic Scholars) is an organisation established in 1980 comprising of some two hundred scholars who graduated from various renowned Islamic Universities throughout the world.

It was established in the early 80′s under the patronage of the well-renowned scholar and mentor of Muslims throughout the world; Hadhrat Moulana Yusuf Motala Saheb.

Patron

Hadhrat Moulana Yusuf Motala Rahmatullahi alaihi was one of the foremost disciples of the late Shaikh-ul-Hadith Hadhrat Moulana Mohammed Zakaria Saheb (R.A). He was born in 1946 in India. He started his studies at Jamia Hussainia, Rander, Gujarat, and eventually graduated from the renowned Islamic university, Muzahir-ul-uloom, Saharanpur. In 1968 , upon the instructions of his Sheikh, he migrated to England to set up the first Islamic University in the United Kingdom, known as Darul-Uloom Al-Arabiya Al-Islamiyah at Holcombe, Bury, Lancashire. His numerous students throughout the world are occupied in the service of Deen, in varying capacities.

He was the founder and patron of numerous Islamic institutes throughout the world. The Rabetah was fortunate enough to have such a remarkable individual of rare intellectual and practical talents as their patron.

Our Mission

The aim of Rabetah is to represent and address Economic, Cultural, Social, Educational and Welfare needs and issues of Muslims within an Islamic framework.

To enable Muslims to rightfully take their position as followers of a major world faith.

Our Objective

To project religion in accordance with the Islamic Faith as practiced by the Sunni-Hanafi-Deobandi Muslims and advance education; provide facilities for recreation in the interest of social welfare with the objective of improving the conditions of life for all persons in the Batley area of West Yorkshire in particular and United Kingdom in general where and when necessary; to promote any charitable purpose.
